SNAP Photography Festival, the new and exceptional festival for wedding and lifestyle photographers, returns for a second year this April. SNAP 2016 - where summer school meets festival meets conference - will build on the roaring success of its inaugural year. Photographers from across the UK and Europe will come together in Cardigan in Wales to work with award-winning wedding, documentary and fashion photographers as well as stylists, motivational speakers and marketeers.

Through brilliant talks and interactive workshops but also live music, wild swimming and delicious food, SNAP has developed a fantastic and fun immersive learning environment. Encouraging education through collaboration with a festival atmosphere makes this a UK first for the photography industry.

Talks and workshops – led by the best in the industry – will focus on storytelling, marketing and new skills to enhance creativity. Each speaker and festival goer will learn from the other through practical and creative events such as Storytelling: Finding your fuel and Gamifying the art form.

“Gone are the days of wedding photographs showing couples peeping cutely from behind a tree, or soft focus hearts around two wedding bands. These days wedding photography is as diverse as couples are. It can be rock’n’roll or abstract, reportage or fashion forward. SNAP brings together every kind of photographer and shows them new ways to think, gives them creative inspiration, presents ways to build their business and how to get the best from their clients.

“The festival environment means more creativity happens. If you enjoy yourself you’re going to make better work. Most of all, it creates a supportive community which even in this past year has grown enormously.” - Laura Babb, founder of SNAP

A fresh line-up of speakers will lead interactive workshops to stimulate and stretch the imagination, covering everything from photography techniques to branding, the latest technology to business development. There will also be plenty of activities away from the camera: foraging, yoga and wild swimming, as well as acoustic performances around the campfire and DJs The Wedding Smashers to get the party started.

SNAP is designed to inspire existing professional photographers as well as those interested in turning a hobby into a business. In a jam-packed four nights and three days SNAP aims to feed and boost careers.

SNAP Photography Festival takes place between the 18 and 22 April 2016 at Fforest Farm, Cwmplysgog, Cilgerran, Cardigan, Wales SA43 2TB and a variety of accommodation ticket packages are available.
