6 Photo Degree Shows To See This Summer

Its that time of year again, when fresh new talent begins emerging from the walls of universities into the spotlight. As their time at university comes to a close, photography students begin to piece together their three years at university to create their final collection of work to display to the public. Throughout the UK, these students will be showcasing a culmination of hard work, late nights and photographic knowledge over the next few months.

We’ve put together a list of photography degree shows we don’t think you’ll want to miss. With shows form Edinburgh to Nottingham, with many of the collectives showing work at FREE RANGE in London there is something for everyone.

Remember to follow them on their social media accounts to keep updated with their progression before the main shows.

Off The Screen

Nottingham

Taking place all over the city of Nottingham is Nottingham Trents 22nd photography degree show, incorporating the work of 76 students divided into 11 different exhibitions. These exhibitions are taking over 9 venues across the city, one of the only university’s to have groups of students producing their own separate degree shows. With this separation, there are plenty of diverse photographs, ranging from environmental issues, to photographs supporting mental health issues, identity and culture.

Because the venues are spread around, the collective have created an interactive map so you can explore the city while ticking off each exhibition.
